Type Talk: The Sixteen Personality Types that Determine How We Live, Love, and Work
by Otto Kroeger and Janet M. Thuesen

New York: Dell Publishing, 1988

Are you an ENFJ -- someone who spends his or her time involved with the things around them ("E" for Extrovert), sees the world in terms of possibilities ("N" for iNtuitive), makes decisions based on subjective judgment ("F" for Feeler), and lives life in a decisive, orderly manner ("J" for Judger)? Are you an ISTP -- someone who spends his or her time in reflection ("I" for Introvert), sees the world in terms of practical facts ("S" for Sensor), makes decisions based on objective analysis ("T" for Thinker), and lives life in a spontaneous, flexible way ("P" for Perceiver)? Or are you one of the fourteen other combinations? In Type Talk, Otto Kroeger and Janet M. Thuesen show you exactly how to determine your personality type, using a scientifically validated method based on the work of C. G. Jung. Type Talk offers insight into why others behave the way they do, and why you are the person you are -- on the job, as a parent, in relationships, and in all aspects of daily life.

Otto Kroeger, ENFJ, is founder of Otto Kroeger Associates, Inc., a consulting firm based in Fairfax, Virginia, working exclusively with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. A former Lutheran clergyman, he has been working in organizational development and the behavioral sciences for more than two decades. He has lectured on Typewatching extensively throughout the United States, and in Europe and Asia, and has worked with hundreds of corporations, including AT&T, Xerox, IBM, Marine Midland Bank, Ford, Exxon, and the World Bank. He has worked extensively with the Defense Department, presenting Typewatching for all four major branches of the military; his seminars are now required course work at many military schools and training facilities.

Janet M. Thuesen, ENFP, president of Otto Kroeger Associates, Inc., has had an extensive career in education, business, and counseling. She has taught at grade levels from preschool through college and has worked with emotionally disturbed adolescents and chemically dependent women. She also served as White House assistant director or organizational development and at the Department of Education in executive and management development. She has trained hundreds of professionals in administering and interpreting Typewatching skills, and has spoken extensively on the subject.
