Systems Thinking: Managing Chaos and
Complexity, with a practical orientation and yet a profound
theoretical depth, goes beyond the simple declaration of
the desirability of systems thinking. It operationally deals
with the art of simplifying complexity, managing interdependency,
and understanding choice using a novel scheme called iterative
design.
Jamshid Gharajedaghi, President and CEO
of INTERACT, has more than twenty-five years of experience
with the practice of systems methodology in design and the
development of business architecture, planning, learning,
and control systems. His work has taken him into corporations
and government agencies around the world for both private
and public concerns. Mr. Gharajedaghi was formerly the Director
of The Busch Center and Adjunct Professor of Systems Sciences
at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He began
his career with IBM's World Trade Center Corporation where
he served as a Senior Systems Engineer. He left IBM to become
CEO of the Industrial Management Institute.
