The old rules of business no longer apply
in a world where the pace of change grows exponentially
faster with every new and more powerful computer chip, software
and telecom network. The power of knowledge drives economies
now -- not the power of production processes. Businesses
can succeed or fail in the blink of an eye based upon their
ability to adapt to change and to convert knowledge into
skill and creativity into innovation. But where is the management
vision that is farsighted enough to be meaningful and acute
enough to understand and explain the forces of change?
Enter Charles Sirois, Entrepreneur, Visionary,
CEO.
Organic Management is Charles Sirois'
personal, passionate and clear-sighted vision of how organizations
must change to continue to be relevant, and the role that
management must play to ensure the organization can adapt
and thrive.
Organic Management is a vision not
only for business, but also for society and education. Controversial,
thought-provoking and dynamic, you will come away with business
wisdom that will help your organization to grow in concert
with the unprecedented forces that are transforming our
world fundamentally and forever.
Charles Sirois is founder, chairman and
CEO of Telesystem Ltd., a private Canadian group and pioneering
leader in global communications. Telesystem Ltd.'s primary
mission is to create, develop and manage companies, among
which is the well-known Microcell company (creator of the
Fido brand).
From its strong position in wireless
communications, Telesystem is focused on opportunities arising
in the new economy from the convergence of telecommunications,
information technology and content. Telesystem has operations
in 17 countries and numbers 11,000 direct and indirect employees.
Charles Sirois received the Order of
Canada in 1994 and was made a knight of the Ordre National
du Quebec in 1998.
Organic Management
was originally published in French in 1999 and is Charles
Sirois' second book. His first, The
Medium and the Muse, about the
information highway, was published in 1995.
Born in Chicoutimi, Mr. Sirois lives
in Montreal.
